Ingredients
- 4 oz oz scamorza cheese
- 2 oz oz speck
- 4 cherry tomatoes
- 1 sheet puff pastry (rectangular)
- 1 egg (for brushing)
- to taste salt
- to taste oregano
- to taste extra virgin olive oil
Steps
The savory puff pastry bundles are very simple and quick to prepare. First, unroll the puff pastry sheet and cut it into 3 parts vertically and then in half, obtaining thus 6 pieces.
Fill each piece with a slice of speck, a small piece of scamorza cheese, a few slices of cherry tomato (I used 3), salt, oregano, and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.
Close the bundle by gently rolling it and place all the puff pastry bundles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper (with the closure part facing down), brush them with a bit of beaten egg, and bake them in a preheated oven at 392°F for about 25 minutes, until they are well golden.
Tips:
The savory puff pastry bundles can be stored at room temperature for a few hours or in the fridge for a couple of days. You can fill them with your preferred filling: deli meats, cheeses, vegetables, canned tuna, or smoked salmon.
