Once the rice is ready, let’s move on to making our rice bites: first clean the avocado, cut it in half, remove the pit, peel it, and slice it fairly thin.
Take an ice cube tray and line it with plastic wrap, making sure to adhere it well to each cavity of the tray. Inside each mold, place a piece of smoked salmon, a piece of avocado, a little cream cheese, and finally the rice, compacting it well.
Once all the molds are filled, unmold the smart sushi onto a plate and serve it. It’s ready to enjoy immediately, no need to rest!
Tips:
The smart homemade sushi keeps in the fridge for one day. Of course, you can use something else instead of salmon and avocado, and if you want, you can also skip the cream cheese. Customize your smart sushi as you like! Serve it with soy sauce, sushi mayonnaise, or other sauces to taste.
