Cocoa Banana Bread without Butter

An American treat that’s hard not to fall in love with.

Quick to prepare, it is incredibly soft and has an enveloping aroma. It’s healthy because it’s without butter, milk, and white flour, but the cocoa makes it delicious!

Ingredients

  • 3 bananas
  • 1 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup sunflower oil
  • 1 egg
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/3 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Tools

  • Non-stick baking pans loaf pan

Steps

  • Peel 2 bananas and mash them well with a fork.

    Add the egg, sugar, and cinnamon and mix.

    Add the sunflower oil

  • Add the flour to the mixture (I used whole wheat flour, but all-purpose or cake flour works too) and mix with a spatula. Add the baking powder and chocolate chips, leaving some for decoration.
    Incorporate the cocoa powder as well.

  • Butter and flour a baking pan, pour the mixture, and place the remaining banana on top with chocolate chips.
    Bake at 356°F for 50 minutes
