  • Cuisine: Italian
  • Seasonality: All seasons

Ingredients

  • 5 cups cabbage
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 onion
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/6 cup soy sauce
  • oil to taste
  • phyllo dough to taste

Tools

  • non-stick frying pan
  • cutting board
  • soy sauce

Steps

  • To prepare the spring rolls, start with the vegetables: wash and cut the carrots, cabbage, and onions into thin strips.

  • In a wok or a large non-stick pan, pour a drizzle of oil and add the vegetables.
Sauté the vegetables for a few minutes and add the water and soy sauce.
Cook until the liquid has reduced and the vegetables are cooked.

  • Adjust the salt.
Assemble the spring rolls: Brush a sheet of phyllo dough with oil and layer it with another sheet.

  • Cut the phyllo dough into squares. Place a tablespoon of cooked vegetables at the edge of each square, avoiding the edges. Fold the edges inward and roll to close the filling.

  • Brush the phyllo dough that encloses the roll with oil to seal them.
Once prepared, cook them in an air fryer at 375°F for 8 minutes, or in an oven at 350°F for 20 minutes, or by frying them in hot oil.
