Rolled Jam Tart

The rolled tart is nothing more than a giant cookie to be cut into small slices.. delicious to dip in milk at breakfast or to eat as a snack.

It’s very easy to make and can be filled with jam, chocolate, cream, or other fillings.. A must-try! 😋

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 7 tbsps butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • zest of one lemon
  • as needed jam
  • as needed sugar sprinkles

Steps

  • Let’s prepare the shortcrust pastry by combining flour, baking powder, sugar, lemon, and 2 eggs.

  • After mixing the ingredients, add the butter.
    Quickly work the shortcrust until you form a homogeneous dough.

  • Flour a sheet of parchment paper and roll out the shortcrust pastry on top, trying to give it a rectangular shape

  • Spread the jam of your choice and roll it up using the parchment paper

  • Brush with the beaten egg and sprinkle with sugar sprinkles
    In the oven at 356°F for 30 minutes
