Baked Pasta with Zucchini and Sausage

Baked pasta with zucchini and sausage is one of my favorite pastas. I really enjoy preparing baked pasta, and the crust that forms on top is something irresistible. Baked pasta with zucchini and sausage is very simple to make; I chose penne, but you can use any type of pasta you prefer. Try it. Since everything is cooked in the oven, it just needs to stay there long enough to combine everything and form that famous crust.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • 3.5 tbsp flour
  • 3.5 tbsp butter
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • 1 pinch black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 large zucchini (or 2 small ones)
  • 7 oz fresh sausage
  • to taste oil & salt
  • 1/2 onion
  • 5 oz mozzarella for pizza
  • 9 oz short pasta

Tools

  • Skillet
  • Baking Dish
  • Pasta Pot
  • Ladle
  • Saucepan for the béchamel

Steps

  • Prepare the Béchamel and set aside (I used the Bimby)

  • In a skillet, brown the chopped half onion with the sausage for a few minutes.

  • Add the zucchini and cook for about 15 minutes.

  • Add the béchamel and mix well.

  • Add the pasta, boiled in plenty of salted water for the time indicated on the package, and the chopped mozzarella. Mix well.

  • Transfer to the baking dish, add more chopped mozzarella on the surface, and bake for about 20 minutes at 392°F. Until the desired golden brown.
