Ingredients
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- zest of 1 lemon
- 1/2 cup milk
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup lard
- 1 packet baking ammonia
- to taste granulated sugar
- to taste alchermes

Steps
In the bowl of the stand mixer, pour all the ingredients except for the milk.
Start the mixer and slowly add the milk. Use the paddle attachment for this recipe.
When the dough detaches from the sides, it’s ready.
Put it in a freezer bag and let it rest in the fridge for 30 minutes.
After the resting time, roll out the dough on a work surface with a rolling pin and cut out heart-shaped cookies.
Brush them with alchermes, coat them in granulated sugar, and bake for 15 minutes at 356°F.
