PEACH JAM WITH BIMBY: Easy, Quick, and Without Preservatives

in

Summer is the perfect time to save a little sunshine in a jar… and what better way than with homemade peach jam? With the Bimby, the process is quick, easy, and allows you to make a sweet, fragrant, and completely natural jam. Ideal for spreading on bread, filling desserts, or enjoying by the spoonful, it’s a genuine way to preserve the taste of summer all year round. My husband, as you know, loves pie, so I always try to make the jam at home. I’ll also leave you with other ideas if you love jam too:

  • Difficulty: Very Easy
  • Cost: Very Cheap
  • Preparation time: 10 Minutes
  • Cooking methods: Slow Cooking, Stove
  • Cuisine: Italian
  • Seasonality: Summer

Ingredients

  • 2.2 lbs ripe peaches
  • 1.75 cups granulated sugar
  • juice of 1 lemon

Tools

  • Bimby
  • Ladle
  • Jars glass

Steps

  • Wash the peaches, peel them, and cut them into pieces, then place them in the Bimby bowl.

  • Add the sugar and lemon juice. Position the Varoma basket (without the lid) instead of the measuring cap, cook for 55 min./203°F/speed 1. Then another 10 minutes at Varoma temperature.

  • Meanwhile, sanitize the jars. I use the microwave. Wash the jars well with hot water, fill them halfway with water and microwave for 10 minutes.

  • When cooking is complete, you can choose to leave the jam chunky or blend it as I did for 10 seconds at speed 8.

  • Fill the jars, which must still be hot, with the jam. Securely close with the lid and let cool upside down. This way, a vacuum seal will be created. You can store the jam in your pantry for months.

Making jam with the Bimby is a gesture of love that perfumes the kitchen and fills the pantry! Try it yourself, customize it with the variations below, and keep a piece of summer in every spoonful.
