PEACH JAM WITH THE THERMOMIX: Easy, Quick and Preservative-Free

Summer is the perfect time to store a bit of sunshine in a jar… and what could be better than homemade peach jam? With the Thermomix, the process is quick, simple, and allows you to make a sweet, fragrant, and completely natural jam. Perfect for spreading on bread, filling desserts, or enjoying by the spoonful, it’s a genuine way to keep the taste of summer all year round. You know my husband loves tarts, so I always try to make jam at home. Here are some more ideas if you also love jam:

  • Difficulty: Very easy
  • Cost: Very cheap
  • Preparation time: 10 Minutes
  • Cooking methods: Slow cooking, Stove
  • Cuisine: Italian
  • Seasonality: Summer

Ingredients

  • 2.2 lbs ripe peaches
  • 1.75 cups granulated sugar
  • juice of 1 lemon

Tools

  • Thermomix
  • Ladle
  • Jars glass

Steps

  • Wash the peaches, peel them, cut into pieces, and place them in the Thermomix bowl.

  • Add the sugar and lemon juice. Place the Varoma dish (without lid) instead of the measuring cup, cook for 55 min./203°F/speed 1. Then another 10 minutes at Varoma temperature.

  • Meanwhile, sanitize the jars. I use the microwave. I wash the jars well with hot water, fill them about halfway with water, and set the microwave for 10 minutes.

  • After cooking, you can choose to leave the jam in chunks or blend it as I did for 10 seconds at speed 8.

  • Fill the jars, which should still be hot, with the jam. Close tightly with the lid and let them cool upside down. This way, a vacuum seal will form, and you can store the jam in the pantry for months.

Making jam with the Thermomix is an act of love that perfumes the kitchen and fills the pantry! Try it yourself, customize it with the variations below, and keep a piece of summer in every spoonful.
