Today I prepared pasta with asparagus and clams. I had already tried Spaghetti with asparagus and shrimp and since we liked them so much, I decided to try them with clams as well. For this recipe, I used cultivated asparagus that my nephew always gives me. Too good. As for the clams, I bought pre-cleaned frozen ones. I wanted to make something quick, and occasionally I find them on sale, so why not take advantage of it??

- Difficulty: Very easy
- Cost: Economical
- Preparation time: 10 Minutes
- Portions: 4
- Cooking methods: Stovetop
- Cuisine: Italian
- Seasonality: Winter, Spring
Ingredients
- 12 oz pasta (I use mezze maniche)
- 2 1/2 cups asparagus
- 3 1/2 oz clams (mine are shelled and frozen)
- 1 clove minced garlic
- 1 bunch chopped parsley
- to taste oil and salt
Tools
- Pan
- High-sided casserole
- Ladle
Steps
The first thing to do is wash the asparagus, remove the tough parts, cut them into pieces, and steam them for 5 minutes. (I do this in the microwave).
In a pan, sauté the clams with oil, garlic, and chopped parsley. 5 minutes will be enough.
Add the cooked asparagus and let it flavor for another 10 minutes. In the meantime, cook the pasta in plenty of salted water for the time indicated on the package.
Drain the pasta al dente, add it to the asparagus, and mix well.
