Savory Pie with Ham and Cream Perfect for Appetizer

The savory pie with cream and ham was almost born by accident. Although I often prepare the Base for Savory Pies without Yeast, Easy and Quick, I often buy puff pastry or shortcrust pastry disks to improvise something to bring to the table at the last minute. Today, in fact, I wanted to prepare something quick but at the same time tasty. And that’s where this savory pie was born, with what I had in the fridge. The result was really excellent, highly appreciated. Because the savory pie with ham and cream is also perfect as a main dish, not just as an appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 1 package shortcrust pastry
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup cooking cream
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 3/4 cup grated cheese
  • 3.5 oz mozzarella
  • 7 oz diced prosciutto

Steps

  • Beat the 2 eggs with salt, pepper, and Parmesan cheese. Then add all the other ingredients and mix until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.

  • Roll out the shortcrust pastry disk on the baking pan and spread the egg and cream mixture.

  • Bake at 392°F for about 30 minutes.
