Savory Pumpkin and Tuna Pie

Today, the first autumn recipe, Savory Pumpkin and Tuna Pie. Perfect combination in my opinion. So delicious!! I love pumpkin and tuna, and I have also made other recipes with these 2 ingredients on the blog. In my opinion, they are perfect together. If we add some gorgonzola, even better. I made the base from scratch, super easy, but you can easily use a sheet of puff pastry or shortcrust pastry.

Ingredients

  • 7 oz flour
  • 3.4 fl oz water
  • Half teaspoon fine salt
  • 1 oz lard
  • 10.6 oz pumpkin
  • 2.8 oz tuna in oil
  • 1 bunch parsley
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 mozzarella
  • as needed oil and salt

Tools

  • Skillet
  • Baking Pan
  • Plastic Wrap
  • Rolling Pin
  • Stand Mixer

Steps

  • Place all the ingredients for the base in the thermomix bowl.

  • Mix for 3 minutes at dough setting.

  • Wrap in plastic wrap and let rest for 15 minutes at room temperature.

  • Meanwhile, sauté the pumpkin with minced garlic and parsley.

  • Take the dough and roll it out with a rolling pin.

  • Add the pumpkin, drained tuna, and diced mozzarella.

  • Close the savory pie and bake for about 30 minutes at 392°F.
