Sometimes you just don’t feel like cooking, or you have no ideas. Today it happened to me. Dead tired and no desire to cook. I had some vegetables in the fridge that were past their prime, so I decided to make a savory pie. I used what I had at home. You do the same. If you want to try this recipe, you’ll need very few ingredients.
- Difficulty: Very easy
- Cost: Very cheap
- Preparation time: 10 Minutes
- Portions: 10People
- Cooking methods: Oven, Microwave
- Cuisine: Italian
- Seasonality: Autumn, Winter
Ingredients
- 1/2 white onion
- 1 clove garlic
- 7 oz delica pumpkin
- 7 oz broccoli
- 7 oz red cabbage
- 7 oz green cabbage
- to taste salt
- to taste olive oil
- 1 pinch pepper
- 4 eggs
- 2 tbsps grated cheese
- 1 round sheet puff pastry
- 3.5 oz pizza mozzarella
Tools
- Pan
- Ladle
- Crisp plate
Steps
Sauté the garlic and chopped onion in a pan with plenty of oil for a few minutes.
Then add the vegetables, season with salt, and cook for about 15 minutes. The vegetables should remain crunchy.
In a separate bowl, beat the eggs with a pinch of salt, pepper, and 2 tablespoons of grated cheese.
Unroll the puff pastry onto the crisp plate if baking the savory pie in the microwave, or in a baking dish if baking in the oven.
Pour in the vegetables, beaten eggs, and mozzarella. Cook for 15 minutes on crisp mode in the microwave. Or about 30 minutes at 392°F in the oven.
Tasty both hot and cold.
