Savory pies are what I love to cook the most. Once I have the base ready, I get creative with the filling. The base I share with you today is very simple, plus it’s yeast-free and requires no waiting time. I used the Thermomix, but it can also be kneaded by hand because it really only takes 5 minutes. Ingredients
- 1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
- 7 tbsps water
- 1/2 tsp fine salt
- 2 1/2 tbsps lard

Steps
Place the flour, water, lard, and salt in the Thermomix bowl.
Knead for 2 minutes at spiga speed.
Transfer the dough to your work surface, wrap it with cling film, and let it rest for 30 minutes. Then proceed with rolling it out and preparing as desired.
