Ingredients for air fryer frappe

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg (XL size)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • as needed powdered sugar (for decoration)

Useful tools to make the recipe

  • Air Fryer
  • Pastry Board
  • Rolling Pin
  • Kitchen Scale
  • Plastic Wrap
  • Fluted Pastry Wheel
  • Sieve
  • Bowl

Preparation (very easy!) of air fryer frappe

  • In a glass bowl pour the flour, baking powder, sugar, and then add the egg. Start kneading by hand and when it becomes less sticky, transfer it to the lightly floured pastry board.

  • Knead for 4-5 minutes until you obtain a smooth dough, wrap it in plastic wrap and let it rest for 10 minutes.

  • Then remove the dough from the plastic wrap and roll it out very thinly with the rolling pin, cut into diamond shapes using the fluted pastry wheel.

  • Preheat the air fryer, place the frappe in the basket (they should not overlap, make more than one batch), insert the basket and cook at 320°F for 5 minutes, remove and continue until you finish all the ingredients.

  • Once the frappe are completely cool, sprinkle them with powdered sugar using a sieve, then enjoy them, light, crispy, and so delicious!

Variations

To decorate the frappe, besides powdered sugar, you can drizzle them with Alchermes and add granulated sugar, or you can pour a nice layer of white or milk chocolate over them.
