Ingredients for air fryer pizza
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2/3 cup water (at room temperature)
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp fine salt
- 1 pinch sugar
- 1/2 tsp dry yeast
- 4 tbsps tomato puree
- 2 sprays spray oil
- 1 pinch fine salt
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 4 sprays spray oil (2 sprays for each pizza)
- 1 pinch fine salt
- as needed black pepper (or rosemary to your liking)

Preparation and cooking of air fryer pizza
In a glass bowl, pour the flour and salt and mix, then add the sugar and yeast and mix.
Add the water and oil to the bowl and start mixing with a spoon. When the water is absorbed, place the dough on a lightly floured pastry board and knead for 8/10 minutes until you get a smooth dough, then place it in the glass bowl and cover with food wrap.
Put the bowl with the ball of dough in the oven turned off and closed to rise until it doubles (if it’s cold it will take about 3 hours).
Once the dough has doubled, divide it into 2 equal parts, place it on the pastry board and make some folds, work each part into a ball shape and place on a baking tray with parchment paper, sprinkle with flour, cover with wrap and put in the oven turned off and closed to rise again for 1 or 2 hours (depending on the external temperature) until it doubles.
Meanwhile, to start, prepare the tomato puree in a bowl by mixing it with oil, salt, and oregano.
Once the pizza balls have doubled, roll them out and spread them with your hands on the lightly floured pastry board and meanwhile preheat the air fryer.
Once the air fryer is hot, remove the basket, place 1 pizza inside, reinsert the basket and cook for 4 minutes on grill mode or (if you don’t have grill mode) 4 minutes at 392°F, then take out the basket and carefully flip the pizza to the opposite side (this step ensures the pizza is perfectly cooked on top and bottom).
Once the pizza is flipped, top it with the tomato puree (or oil, salt and pepper/rosemary if you make it white), reinsert the basket and cook for 14 minutes on oven mode at 356°F, repeat these steps for each pizza.
Once cooked, enjoy the air fryer pizza hot and steaming!
TIPS
You can serve the white pizza with cold cuts, vegetables, and cheeses.
You can eat the red pizza as it comes out of the air fryer or in the last 2 minutes of cooking you can add some mozzarella or scamorza cheese.
