Almond and speck swirls are a delicious finger-food for an aperitif, you can also accompany them with a mayonnaise sauce to make them even more tasty. You can replace the speck with Lardo di Colonnata or guanciale, replace the almonds with chopped and toasted walnuts. To make the swirls more special, before cooking brush the surface with some oil and sprinkle with smoked paprika. You can add a few slices of melting cheese (like scamorza) to the filling. If you have leftovers, store them in a paper bag and heat them briefly in the oven before serving.
