Ingredients for the Baked Lemon Ricotta Dessert
- 17.5 oz Cow's Milk Ricotta
- 6 oz Sugar
- 1 Grated zest of one lemon (with edible zest)
Tools Needed for Making the Baked Lemon Ricotta Dessert
- 1 Bowl
- 1 Spoon
- 1 Grater
- 3 Cocotte
- 1 Kitchen Scale
Preparation of the Baked Lemon Ricotta Dessert
In a bowl, mix the ricotta with the sugar until you get a smooth and soft mixture.
Grate the lemon zest (I used a medium-hole grater to get larger pieces) and add it to the ricotta, mix well to combine.
Divide the mixture into several oven-safe cocottes (I used 3 of medium size), filling them slightly below the rim.
Preheat the oven (static) to 392°F and bake (to make it easier, you can place the cocottes in a baking tray to handle them more easily and avoid burning yourself once they are baked). Cook for 1 hour and 20 minutes, then turn off the oven, open the door, and let them cool.
Now the baked lemon ricotta dessert is ready; once it’s completely cool, cover the cocottes with plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to serve. You can prepare them the day before. You can garnish with a thin lemon slice.
