I suggest 4 side dishes to pair with the beer pork chops:

  • Difficulty: Very easy
  • Cost: Cheap
  • Preparation time: 5 Minutes
  • Portions: 3
  • Cooking methods: Stovetop
  • Cuisine: Italian
  • Seasonality: All seasons

Ingredients for Beer Pork Chops

  • 3 pork chops (medium thickness, total weight about 1.15 lbs)
  • 1/2 cup light beer
  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 cloves red garlic
  • to taste fine salt
  • to taste mixed peppercorns (freshly ground)

Useful Tools

  • Pan
  • Tongs
  • Parchment Paper
  • Aluminum Foil

Preparation of Beer Pork Chops

  • Place the oil in a pan, add the peeled garlic cloves, lay the pork chops then salt and pepper them on the surface.

  • Place on the stove over high heat, cook for 3 minutes, then turn them over with kitchen tongs and cook for another 3 minutes.

  • After the last 3 minutes, lower the heat to medium, pour the beer and continue cooking (turning the chops occasionally) until the beer has evaporated (the chops will now be cooked).

  • Turn off the heat; cover the chops (placing on top) with a sheet of parchment paper and then with a piece of aluminum foil, let rest this way for 4/5 minutes, then serve. This little trick ensures the meat stays soft, juicy, and not dry! Enjoy your meal!
