  • 5.5 oz mozzarella
  • 4 leaves basil (fresh)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch black pepper (freshly ground)
  • a few drops extra virgin olive oil (to be used before serving)

Useful Tools

  • Cutting Board
  • Knife
  • 2 Spoons
  • Bowl
  • Parchment Paper
  • Plastic Wrap

Preparation of Bresaola Pinwheels

  • Start by draining the mozzarella, then finely chop it and place it in a bowl. Add the torn basil, salt, pepper, and mix with two spoons. Set aside.

  • Lay the bresaola slices slightly overlapping on a sheet of parchment paper until they form a rectangle of bresaola.

  • Spread the seasoned mozzarella evenly over the bresaola.

  • Start rolling from the short side to form a roll, seal with parchment paper to form a candy shape, then wrap with plastic wrap, tightening it well. Place the bresaola roll in the fridge for at least 3 hours.

  • After chilling in the fridge, remove the roll, unwrap the plastic wrap and parchment paper, and with a sharp knife, cut into pinwheels. Arrange them on a serving plate, drizzle with olive oil, and serve—they’re ready to enjoy!
