Preparation of broccoli and sausage casserole
Start by cleaning the broccoli from the waste parts, cut it into small pieces, rinse under running water, drain well with a colander, and place it in a large pot. Cover with salted water and put it on the stove on high heat. Once it boils, cook for 20 minutes, then drain well.
Put the cooked and well-drained broccoli in a bowl, mash well with a fork, add olive oil, salt, pepper, peeled and crumbled sausage, and mix well. Lastly, add breadcrumbs and the egg, and with the help of a spoon, mix until all ingredients are combined.
Place the obtained mixture in a non-stick baking pan, press it with the spoon leveling the surface, and sprinkle with grated cheese. Heat the oven to the maximum temperature.
When the oven is hot, bake the broccoli and sausage casserole for 25/30 minutes. At the end of cooking, the surface should have a nice golden crust. Once cooked, take it out, let it cool slightly, and serve it. Enjoy your meal!
