Preparation of Chestnuts in Air Fryer
Start by scoring the belly of the chestnuts with a cut that slightly incises the chestnut as well (as shown in the video recipe).
Place the scored chestnuts in a large bowl and fill it with water until they are covered (tap water is fine), let them rest for at least 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, drain them, place them on a clean dish towel, and pat them dry thoroughly.
Place them in the air fryer basket without overlapping them, with the scored side up, insert the basket and cook at 375°F for 15 minutes, then take them out of the fryer and enjoy their deliciousness!
TIPS
If you love them crunchier on the outside, cook them for 2/3 more minutes.
I started cooking with the air fryer NOT preheated because in 15 minutes from cold they cook perfectly, if you prefer to preheat it, check that they do not dry out too much towards the end of cooking.
