Chocolate Dorayaki, if you have ever watched the Doraemon cartoon, you will undoubtedly know the famous sweets that Nobita ate, the dorayaki! In the original recipe, they are filled with a cream called anko, a sort of sauce made from azuki beans (not easily available here), I filled them with Nutella but you can also fill them with jam! The base of the dorayaki is a kind of pancake but with a consistency more similar to sponge cake, these delicious snacks will make both adults and children happy, and you won’t leave them anymore!

Preparation of Chocolate Dorayaki
Melt the butter in a non-stick saucepan and then let it cool down.
In a bowl, pour the egg, sugar, and melted and cooled butter, and work with a spoon until the mixture becomes frothy.
Add the water and blend it into the egg mixture by stirring for a few minutes.
Sift together flour and baking powder and add them to the liquid mixture, stirring quickly with a spoon until you get a thick but smooth and lump-free batter.
Heat a non-stick pan over low heat, when it’s hot, pour half a ladle of batter, cook for 2-3 minutes, then flip with a kitchen spatula and cook on the other side for 2 minutes, then remove and place on a serving plate to cool, continue this way until you finish the batter (these doses are enough for 8 dorayaki).
Once all the dorayaki are cooked and well cooled, fill 4 of them with Nutella (1 heaping tablespoon each) and cover them with the remaining 4 dorayaki, now all that’s left is to serve and enjoy these super delicious sweets!
TIPS
You can replace Nutella with the jam you like best or with a dark chocolate cream or pistachio cream.
Before serving, you can sprinkle some powdered sugar on top.
