Crispy baked chicken was created as a recipe after I discovered I was diabetic. Having a diet to follow, I try to make my dishes as appetizing as possible, and if you like, I share the various recipes with you (in addition to classic recipes). The quantities in the recipe obviously do not include my single portion because everyone must follow their own dietary plan, but I have provided a quantity suitable for 2-3 people. I hope in this way to give you delicious and useful ideas if you must follow a specific dietary regime or if you want to eat light but tasty!

Ingredients for the Crispy Baked Chicken
- 14 oz chicken breast (fillets)
- 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 tsp fine salt
- 1/4 tsp sweet paprika (powder)
- 5 leaves basil (fresh)
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tsp lemon zest (grated)
Useful Tools
- Bowl
- Kitchen scale
- 2 Spoons
- Parchment paper
Preparation of Paprika Crispy Chicken
Cut the chicken breast into fillets (or take pre-cut fillets) and place them in a bowl.
Add the breadcrumbs, paprika, salt, and chopped basil to the bowl, and mix well with the help of two spoons to coat all the chicken.
Line a baking tray with parchment paper; place the chicken fillets on it, spreading them out evenly; pour the oil mentioned in the recipe over them.
Heat the oven to 482°F (250°C) and when it reaches temperature, bake for 20-25 minutes (at the end of cooking, the chicken should be well browned), turning the fillets halfway through. Once cooked, remove the crispy chicken from the oven, sprinkle with the grated lemon zest, and serve. You’ll taste how good it is!
FAQ (Questions and Answers)
Can I use turkey breast instead of chicken breast?
Yes, turkey breast works great; just make sure it’s not sliced too thinly.
