Ingredients for the Easy and Quick Apple Puff Pastries

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (rectangular)
  • 1 Royal Gala apple
  • 1 cup cup apricot jam (or peach jam (I used a sugar-free one))
  • 3 tbsps chopped pistachios
  • to taste ground cinnamon

Useful Tools to Make These Delicious Puff Pastries

  • Knife
  • Cutting Board
  • Parchment Paper
  • Kitchen Scale
  • 1 Spoon

Preparation of Apple Puff Pastries

  • Unroll the puff pastry on the work surface, with a sharp knife cut it into 6 equal-sized rectangles, place the puff pastry rectangles on a baking sheet with parchment paper (if there are any scraps, use them at the end for decoration).

  • Pour half a tablespoon of jam on each puff pastry rectangle, and spread it with the back of the spoon.

  • Peel the apple, remove the waste parts, and with a very sharp knife thinly slice it, place 3 or 4 slices on top of each puff pastry rectangle (where you already put the jam).

  • Cover all the apples by distributing the remaining jam on top, sprinkle the chopped pistachios and decorate with any remaining pastry scraps

  • Preheat the oven to 428°F (220°C), once hot, bake and cook for 20 minutes, once cooked, remove the puff pastries from the oven, sprinkle them with ground cinnamon (amount according to your taste, I was generous!) and serve, excellent both hot and cold!

Notes

You can replace the chopped pistachios with chopped walnuts or hazelnuts or almonds.

You can also add some dark chocolate chips.

Instead of cinnamon, you can sprinkle powdered sugar or ground stevia on top.
