Eggless Chocolate Salami Easy Recipe

Have you ever tried eggless chocolate salami?! I assure you that this recipe is really special, the chocolate salami is so good that to take the picture I had to hide part of it! It’s a dessert that reminds you of childhood and days at grandma’s, you can always keep it ready in the freezer and take it out at the right moment, it’s ideal after lunch or dinner, and you can also make it with your children!

Ingredients

  • 2.6 oz Sweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable hazelnut cream
  • 5.3 oz Sugar
  • 13.2 oz Dry biscuits
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable margarine
  • 1 packet Vanilla essence (use either a packet or a vial of aroma)
  • 4 tablespoons Soy milk
  • 3.5 oz Vegetable ricotta
  • 2.8 oz Walnuts
  • 1 tablespoon Instant coffee

Preparation

  • Melt the margarine in a bain-marie, once melted add the vanilla aroma and the vegetable hazelnut cream (or alternative hazelnut cream), stir and let cool.

  • In a bowl break the biscuits with your hands, they should be coarsely chopped, add the sugar, instant coffee, and cocoa and mix quickly.

  • Chop and toast the walnuts over moderate heat, then add them to the biscuit mixture.

  • In the saucepan with margarine, vanilla, and hazelnut cream now cooled, add the vegetable ricotta and soy milk, and mix well, pour the mixture into the bowl with the biscuits.

  • Using a spoon and your hands, mix all the ingredients well until combined, spread a sheet of baking paper on the work surface, pour the prepared mixture on top, form it into a long, tapered shape and using the baking paper, wrap it into a sausage shape, seal the edges as if it were a candy, cover everything with aluminum foil and place in the freezer for at least 2 hours before consumption.

That Extra Touch…

To give the eggless chocolate salami a more special touch, you can add one shot of brandy to the mixture, you’ll love the taste!
