Foil-Baked Tofu

Ingredients for Foil-Baked Tofu

  • 9 oz tofu
  • 10.5 oz yellow bell pepper (weight after cleaning)
  • 3.5 oz black olives (seasoned)
  • 7 oz cherry tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon dried onion
  • 1 teaspoon rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon chives (dried)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • to taste pepper (freshly ground)
  • to taste salt
  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

Preparation of Foil-Baked Tofu

  • Drain the tofu from any liquid, then pat it dry with paper towels, cut it into cubes, and place them in a bowl.

  • Add the yellow bell pepper (cleaned and chopped), olives, cherry tomatoes, all the herbs, salt, pepper, and oil to the bowl, and mix well.

  • Place a sheet of parchment paper in the baking pan, pour the seasoned tofu in, and seal the parcel with kitchen twine, leaving a small opening in the center.

  • Preheat the oven to 482°F, and when it’s hot, bake the seasoned tofu for 20 minutes. Then, turn off the oven, let it cool slightly, and serve. It’s also great cold! Enjoy your meal with your vegan guests!
