Preparation of Gratin Eggs
First, boil the eggs for 8 minutes from when the water starts boiling, then drain them and place them in ice-cold water until completely cold. Once cold, peel them.
Cut each peeled egg in half and place them in the baking dish with the yolk facing up, lightly salt them, mix the breadcrumbs and grated cheese with a pinch of pepper, and sprinkle this mix over the eggs, drizzling with olive oil.
Preheat the oven to maximum temperature, once hot, bake for 10 minutes until a delicious golden crust forms, then remove and enjoy hot or warm! Bon appétit!
Variations
You can add a pinch of garlic powder to the breadcrumbs, and you can also add a piece of guanciale or bacon between the egg and breadcrumbs.
To make the gratin eggs even more delicious, you can replace the grated cheese with Pecorino, and you can also add pieces of melting cheese to the breadcrumbs.
