Gratinated Cabbage

Ingredients for Gratinated Cabbage

  • 1.3 lbs cabbage (white or green)
  • 3 cloves red garlic
  • 3 tbsps breadcrumbs
  • 3 tbsps extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 pinch fine salt
  • to taste mixed peppercorns (freshly ground)

Preparation of Gratinated Cabbage

  • Clean the cabbage from the waste parts, cut it into thin strips, wash it, and let it drain well in a colander.

  • When the cabbage is well drained, pour it into a large bowl, add the cleaned and chopped garlic, a pinch of salt, and pepper to your taste, and mix well with the slotted spoon.

  • Pour the seasoned cabbage into a baking pan with parchment paper, spread it well so that it is comfortable and not too overlapped.

  • Sprinkle the cabbage with breadcrumbs and distribute the planned oil on top, heat the oven to 482°F, and when it’s hot, put it in the oven.

  • Cook the cabbage for 40/45 minutes until the surface is slightly golden, then take it out of the oven, serve it, and enjoy its goodness!
