Ingredients

  • 33.5 oz Pumpkin (already peeled)
  • 5.6 oz Smoked bacon (diced)
  • 3 tbsps Breadcrumbs
  • 3 tbsps Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 glass Rosemary
  • 1 g Fine salt
  • 1 to taste Mixed peppercorns (freshly ground)

  • 1 Cutting board
  • 1 Baking tray non-stick
  • 1 Wooden spoon for mixing

Preparation of Gratinated Pumpkin with Bacon

  • Peel the pumpkin, cut it into cubes, and wash it thoroughly.

  • Place the pumpkin in the non-stick baking tray, add the smoked bacon, oil, salt, pepper, and rosemary, and mix well.

  • Sprinkle the surface with breadcrumbs mixed with a pinch of salt, and give it a final drizzle of oil.

  • Bake in a preheated oven at 482°F and cook for 1 hour in a static oven, turning on the grill for the last 5 minutes to achieve a golden surface.

  • You can serve the gratinated pumpkin with bacon hot and steaming, perfect to accompany your meat main courses!

VARIANTS


Instead of smoked bacon, you can use sliced speck, diced cooked ham, or pieces of sausage.
You can substitute 3.5 oz of pumpkin with 3.5 oz of boiled potato.
