  • 3 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup water (at room temperature)
  • 2 tbsps extra virgin olive oil
  • 3/4 tsp fine salt
  • 1 packet instant yeast for savory preparations

Preparation of Instant Yeast Oil Buns

  • First, preheat the oven to 392°F and let it warm up, in the meantime prepare the buns.

  • In a bowl, pour the flour, salt, and yeast, give a quick stir with the spoon.

  • Add water and oil, and start mixing with a spoon; pour onto a lightly floured pastry board and knead by hand for 3/4 minutes, you will get a smooth and soft dough.

  • Divide the dough into 6 equal parts and shape each into a round bun, place the buns on the tray lined with parchment paper and (the oven should now be well heated) bake them, cook for 25 minutes.

  • After 25 minutes, remove from oven and let them cool slightly or completely, then enjoy these instant yeast oil buns ready in no time and delicious!

  • IF YOU KNEAD WITH A STAND MIXER: pour the ingredients into the mixer in the following order: flour, salt, yeast, water, oil, and knead with the hook for 4 minutes at speed 2, then proceed as in step 4 above, the baking time remains unchanged.
