Tips
If you want to prepare the lasagna with cooked ham in advance, you can freeze it either cooked (obviously cold) or raw. Personally, I prefer to freeze it cooked; then you just need to take it out the night before and put it in a hot oven until it is well heated through. You’ll see, it will be just like freshly made!
Alternatively, you can prepare it in the evening, put it in the fridge raw and bake it the next day just before lunch.
If you like, you can add a diced mozzarella to the filling.
For a stronger flavor, you can substitute cow’s milk ricotta with sheep’s milk ricotta.
