Light Tuna and Peppers Pasta

Light tuna and peppers pasta is ideal for those who want to eat healthy and light but with taste, without any fat even raw, perfect also for a quick meal, good both hot and cold, and therefore great to eat even at the office if needed! But now hurry up to try this light and very easy main dish!

Ingredients for light tuna and peppers pasta

  • 2 oz fusilli
  • 4.4 oz canned tuna in water (drained weight)
  • 7 oz red bell pepper (weighed after cleaning)
  • 1 clove red garlic
  • 1/2 glass water
  • 1 tbsp parsley (freshly chopped)
  • 1 pinch fine salt

Preparation of light tuna and peppers pasta

  • Clean the peppers, remove the stem, seeds, and white filaments, wash them, and dry them well. Then cut them into strips and small pieces, place them in a non-stick frying pan.

  • Add a pinch of salt, the chopped garlic clove, and the half glass of water, stir, and cook covered over medium heat for about 10 minutes.

  • While the peppers begin to cook, put the water for the pasta on the stove, and when it boils, add the pasta, continue cooking the sauce.

  • Add the coarsely chopped tuna and parsley to the peppers, stir, and continue cooking over high heat without a lid for another 5 minutes, then turn off the heat.

  • Drain the pasta al dente, add it to the pan with the sauce, and toss over medium heat for 2 minutes while stirring, serve immediately hot and steaming!

  • Optional: If you wish, before serving, you can add 1 teaspoon of raw olive oil.
