I should have published the Naan Bread recipe with Greek yogurt a year ago, but for various reasons, I had to postpone it. Today, finally, here is this deliciously soft bread typical of Indian cuisine. Believe me, it’s easy to make and delicious! Even those less experienced with doughs will succeed! You can fill it with sweet or savory fillings, but I personally love it more in its savory version, and its extreme softness is delightful! But enough chitchat, head to the kitchen and try the recipe!

Preparation of Naan Bread with Greek Yogurt
In a bowl, pour the ingredients in this sequence: first flour and yeast and give a quick mix, then add Greek yogurt, water, and salt.
Start mixing with your hands (or with a spoon if you prefer) and when the dough has well-incorporated water and yogurt, pour it onto the pastry board and work it for about 10 minutes (don’t worry if it doesn’t come out perfectly smooth, that’s normal!), form a ball and place it in a bowl covered with plastic wrap to rise for about 3 hours (it won’t grow much, that’s also normal!).
After 3 hours, take the dough, divide it into 4 equal parts, and with each part, do a few rounds of folds and shape it into a ball (at this point the dough will have become nicely smooth!), cover with plastic wrap and let it rest for 40/45 minutes.
After the rest, turn on the stove on a very high flame and heat the pan very well, meanwhile, roll out each of the 4 balls with the rolling pin, you shouldn’t roll them out too thin but leave them with a thickness of 1/8 to 3/16 inches.
When the pan is very hot, place 1 naan bread at a time inside, wait about 1 minute, turn with tongs, and cook on the opposite side for about 1 minute (it is well cooked when it forms the typical brown spots (like a flatbread) and puffs up slightly), continue like this until all the dough is finished. Voilà, you’re done! Now your Naan Bread is ready to be enjoyed in all its soft goodness!
Tips
To serve this amazing Naan Bread with Greek yogurt, you can dress it with a sauce made of oil, salt, and chopped parsley, and if you like, you can add minced garlic as well.
You can use it to accompany a good meat stew with potatoes.
You can use it like a flatbread, fill it with what you love most (vegetables, cold cuts, cheeses, etc.), fold it, and heat it in the pan for 2 minutes!
You can store it in the freezer once cold to always have a nice stock available.
