Ingredients for Pistachio Crusted Tuna in Air Fryer

  • 2 slices tuna (fresh and equally sized)
  • 2/3 cup pistachio crumbs
  • 1 pinch fine salt
  • 1 egg
  • 2 sprays extra virgin olive oil

Preparation of Pistachio Crusted Tuna in Air Fryer

  • Pat dry the fresh tuna slices with paper towels (if frozen, let them thaw and proceed as per recipe), set aside, and beat an egg adding a pinch of salt with a fork in a plate.

  • On a clean plate, lay out the pistachio crumbs, dip the fresh tuna slices first in the beaten egg, then in the pistachio crumbs, turning to coat completely on all sides.

  • Set aside, set the air fryer to 356°F (as temperature) and 12 minutes (as cooking time), when hot, place the tuna slices in the basket, spray 2 puffs of oil over them, and start the fryer.

  • Midway through cooking, using a plastic kitchen spatula, turn the pistachio tuna slices and complete cooking.

  • Once the fresh tuna is cooked, serve it garnished with fresh parsley and enjoy its simple goodness.

TIPS

If you can’t find fresh tuna slices, you can use frozen ones. Before preparation, let them thaw completely, then proceed as per recipe.
