Ingredients for Pork Steaks with Beer
- 3 pork steaks (medium thickness, approximately 1.15 lbs total weight)
- 1/2 cup light beer
- 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 3 cloves red garlic
- to taste fine salt
- to taste mixed peppercorns (freshly ground)
Useful Tools
- Skillet
- Tongs
- Parchment Paper
- Aluminum Foil
Preparation of Pork Steaks with Beer
Place the oil in a skillet, add the cleaned garlic cloves, lay the pork steaks, then season them with salt and pepper on the surface.
Cook on high flame for 3 minutes, then turn them on the other side with kitchen tongs and cook for another 3 minutes.
After the last 3 minutes, lower the flame to medium, pour the beer and continue cooking (turning the steaks occasionally) until the beer has evaporated (the steaks will now be cooked).
Turn off the heat; cover the steaks (placing them on top) with a sheet of parchment paper and then with a piece of aluminum foil, let them rest in this way for 4/5 minutes then serve, this little trick ensures the meat remains tender, juicy, and not dry! Enjoy your meal!
