- Difficulty: Very easy
- Cost: Very cheap
- Preparation time: 15 Minutes
- Portions: 3
- Cooking methods: Electric oven
- Cuisine: Italian
- Seasonality: All seasons
Ingredients for the Quick Red Pizza
- 3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cups water
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 packet instant yeast for savory preparations
- 1 pinch fine salt
- 5 oz tomato puree
- 7 oz mozzarella
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- to taste salt
Steps
In a large bowl, pour the flour and salt (for the dough) and mix, add the yeast (I recommend sifting it) and mix again.
Now add the water and oil and start mixing with a spoon. When the dough becomes less sticky, place it on a floured surface and work it until you get a smooth but soft dough ball.
Roll out the dough thinly with a rolling pin, then place it in a lightly oiled baking sheet (you can also use 2 sheets if you want), preheat the oven to 482°F.
When the oven is well heated, bake the tray (without topping) and cook for 8 minutes. Then, remove the tray from the oven, top it with tomato puree (mixed with salt and oil) and garnish with sliced mozzarella.
After topping it, bake again and continue cooking for another 15/18 minutes (always check the cooking because each oven is different from the other). The quick red pizza is cooked when it is golden on the edge and underneath, and the mozzarella is well melted. Remove from the oven and serve hot, optionally garnish with fresh basil before serving!
