Preparation of the Stuffed Calzone
In a bowl, add the ricotta, thinly chopped ham, and mushrooms, add salt and pepper, and mix well to combine the ingredients.
Roll out the puff pastry on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, pierce half of the pastry with a fork, and sprinkle breadcrumbs over that half.
On the half where you added the breadcrumbs, pour the prepared ricotta filling, spreading it evenly with a spoon, leaving 1 cm from the edge free.
Fold the puff pastry over itself to form a half-moon shape, seal the entire edge by folding it over itself from one side to the other, and make cuts on the surface.
Brush the surface with a mixture of oil and milk, sprinkle with poppy seeds, preheat the oven to 428°F (220°C), and bake for 30/35 minutes until golden brown on top, then remove from the oven and enjoy!
Tips
You can replace the poppy seeds with sesame seeds or a sprinkle of grated cheese.
You can replace the cooked ham with prosciutto or speck.
You can add pieces of melting cheese to the filling.
