Preparation of Stuffed Mozzarella, Easy and Tasty Appetizer!
Drain the mozzarella well from its liquid, place it on the serving plate, using a sharp knife and a spoon remove the center pulp to obtain a mozzarella “bowl”.
Finely chop the mozzarella pulp and place it in a bowl, also add finely chopped capers and basil, quartered cherry tomatoes, oil, salt, and pepper, and mix well.
Stuff the mozzarella with the prepared filling (if it doesn’t all fit in the hollow part, serve the rest in a small plate or bowl), cover gently with plastic wrap and let it rest in the fridge for 30 minutes (or longer if desired), then serve and enjoy, if needed add an additional drizzle of olive oil on top, and bon appétit!
Variations
If you like, you can add 3 finely chopped anchovies in oil to the mozzarella stuffing.
You can replace capers with green olives.
