Preparation of Stuffed Mozzarella, Easy and Tasty Appetizer!

  • Drain the mozzarella well from its liquid, place it on the plate you will serve it on, and with a sharp knife and the help of a spoon, remove the center to create a mozzarella “bowl.”

  • Finely chop the mozzarella center and place it in a bowl, add the finely chopped capers and basil, quartered cherry tomatoes, oil, salt, and pepper, and mix well.

  • Fill the mozzarella with the prepared filling (if it doesn’t all fit in the hollow part, serve it separately on a small plate or bowl), gently cover with plastic wrap and let rest in the fridge for 30 minutes (or more if you prefer), then serve and enjoy. If necessary, add a drizzle of oil on top, and enjoy your meal!

Variations

If you like, you can add 3 finely chopped anchovies in oil to the stuffed mozzarella filling.

You can replace the capers with green olives.
