Orange muffin pan is a revisitation of the famous orange pan, a dessert of Sicilian origin, very soft and with an unmistakable citrus fragrance, where a puree of orange blended with all its peel is added to the dough, and a glaze also with an orange fragrance to make it truly irresistible. Ingredients for the orange muffin pan
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 eggs
- 1 orange (Organic, untreated)
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 7 tbsp butter
- 1 package baking powder
- powdered sugar (For decoration)
Tools

Preparation of the orange muffin pan
Carefully wash the orange and dry it. Then cut into small pieces with all the peel. Then put in the food processor and blend until it becomes a puree. Set aside.
In the bowl, crack the eggs, pour in the sugar and work with the electric whisk for 5 minutes until you have obtained a very light and frothy mixture
Then add the melted butter in a double boiler, and the sifted flour with baking powder. Work with the whisks until you have a velvety consistency.
Finally add the orange puree and mix until everything is combined
Work the mixture for a few minutes until you reach a fluffy and velvety consistency
Preheat the oven to 350°F, line the tin with paper liners and fill each slightly more than halfway. Bake for about 15 minutes until they are puffed and golden. Remove from the oven and let cool before removing from the tin and dusting with powdered sugar. Enjoy!
