This liqueur is particularly suitable for serving at the end of a meal as a digestif. The preparation is very simple, and after the maceration days, it takes only 10 minutes to mix all the ingredients and bottle your liqueur which will keep in the refrigerator or freezer. Banana Liqueur Preparation
For making bananino, choose very ripe bananas to release more aroma when infused in alcohol.
Peel the bananas and slice them; you will need about 400 grams of peeled bananas. Place them in a glass jar and add the alcohol. Close the jar with the lid and let macerate for 7 days in a dark place away from heat sources (for example, inside the pantry). Once or twice a day, shake the container to promote the infusion process; you will see that the liquid becomes more and more yellow and the bananas darker.
After the 7 days, prepare the syrup: place the water and sugar in a saucepan, stir and bring to a boil. As soon as the water has reached the boil, the sugar will be completely dissolved, so remove from heat and let cool.
Filter the banana-flavored alcohol into a bowl, then filter it a second time through a strainer lined with cheesecloth.
Add the now-cold sugar syrup and mix well.
Bottle the liqueur and store it in the refrigerator.
Let the banana liqueur mature in the fridge for about 15 days before enjoying it.
Notes
The banana liqueur keeps in the refrigerator or freezer for about 3 months.
