Variations and Tips
When making the cupcakes, you can replace the vanilla essence with a packet of vanilla powder or the grated zest of half a lemon.
If you don’t have vanilla icing sugar for the frosting, use regular icing sugar. In this case, if you like, you can add 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence or a packet of vanilla powder.
You can replace fresh cream with plant-based cream; if using pre-sweetened cream, add only 1 oz of icing sugar.
You can also decorate your cupcakes with simple Whipped Cream or Chocolate Whipped Cream.

Storage
The cupcakes can be stored in the refrigerator in a container for up to 2 days. If possible, keep the cupcakes separate from the cream and decorate them just before serving or a few hours in advance.
