To prepare the bread croutons, it is advisable to use rustic bread, stale for 2-3 days, which should not be too dry but not too fresh either.
You can season the croutons with a pinch of garlic powder and/or pepper.
If you do not need to use the bread croutons right away, let them cool completely, then put them in a container with a lid. If stored in a cool and dry place, they will keep for 3-4 days.
