Watermelon and Mint Infused Water

Here is another detox water recipe: watermelon and mint infused water. Like all detox waters, this one is also refreshing and draining, and it’s very useful when we’re on a diet, but also when, even without needing to lose weight, we feel bloated and heavy. Detox water has become a healthy habit for me: every night I prepare about 2 quarts of it, always different, and start drinking it the next morning.

Ingredients for Watermelon and Mint Infused Water

  • 2 quarts water
  • 1 slice watermelon (about 10.5 oz)
  • 1 sprig mint

Preparation of WATERMELON AND MINT INFUSED WATER

  • Take the slice of watermelon and remove the rind. Cut it into pieces and, with the tip of a knife, remove all the seeds, then place the watermelon pieces in a glass pitcher.

  • Wash the mint (you can remove the leaves or leave the sprig whole) and place it in the pitcher. Add two quarts of mineral water and stir (if you are used to drinking tap water, that’s fine too).

  • Place the pitcher in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours up to a maximum of 12 hours. Obviously, the longer the infusion time, the more aroma the water will take.

Notes

When preparing infused water (detox water) of any type, instead of putting it in a large pitcher, you can distribute the ingredients in jars or single-serving mugs with lids. This way, every time you need to drink, you already have the glass ready; you can also take them to work.

For each ingredient you decide to use for your detox water, search for information on the web (example: watermelon properties) and you will get an idea of the various benefits of the detox water you are creating.
