Air Fryer Chicken Bites

The air fryer chicken bites, tasty, flavorful, crispy on the outside, and incredibly tender on the inside, are a very simple second course to prepare. And while the chicken cooks, two delicious sauces are ready in no time: the avocado faux mayonnaise and the spiced yogurt sauce. Because these air fryer chicken bites “dipped” are even more delicious!

Air Fryer Chicken Bites Cucina vista mare
  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Cost: Inexpensive
  • Preparation time: 15 Minutes
  • Portions: 2 people
  • Cooking methods: Air Frying
  • Cuisine: Italian
  • Seasonality: All seasons

Ingredients

  • 10.5 oz chicken bites (or chicken breast slices)
  • 1 egg
  • to taste Provençal herbs (or oregano)
  • to taste extra virgin olive oil
  • to taste salt
  • to taste spiced yogurt sauce
  • to taste avocado faux mayonnaise

Tools

  • 1 Bamboo cutting board
  • 1 Kitchen knife
  • 1 Bowl
  • 1 Plate
  • 1 Air fryer oven
  • 1 Oil sprayer

Steps

  • Mix the herbs with the breadcrumbs (I chose a Provençal mix, but oregano works just fine). Prepare the chicken: season with salt, dip in the beaten egg, and then roll the bites in the breadcrumbs. If using chicken breast slices, cut them into strips first. Transfer the chicken to the air fryer, add a couple of tablespoons of oil (for convenience, I recommend buying a sprayer) and cook at 356°F for 15 minutes, turning the meat halfway through. Serve the chicken bites hot, accompanied by the sauces and a mixed salad.

Notes

If you have a basket air fryer, you can put the chicken directly inside the basket. If you have an oven air fryer, you can place the chicken on the racks with the appropriate perforated parchment paper.
