Ingredients
- 1 and 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup hazelnut flour
- 7/8 cup sugar
- 4 eggs
- 7/8 cup soft butter
- 1 packet vanillin
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1 pinch salt
- 4 Golden apples
- 1 packet baking powder
Tools
- 1 KitchenAid Artisan Mixer
- 1 9-inch Springform Pan
- 1 Cutting Board
- 1 Kitchen Knife
- 1 Cake Tester
Steps
In the bowl of the stand mixer with the paddle attachment, work the butter and sugar. Replace the paddle with the whisk and add the eggs one by one, incorporating them before adding the next. Add the all-purpose flour, salt, vanillin, and baking powder. Then add the milk, let it absorb, and continue with the hazelnut flour. Finally, add one peeled apple cut into small cubes. Pour the batter into a greased and floured 9-inch springform pan. Peel the remaining apples, cut them into quarters, make cuts on each quarter, and arrange them in a circle on the surface, pressing them slightly into the batter. Sprinkle with a little sugar and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 1 hour. Once ready (remember to do the test to check the cooking using a reusable cake tester or a skewer), remove from the oven, take it out of the pan, and let it cool on a wire rack. If desired, sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
