The brownies in a jar belong to that series of homemade gifts that, in my opinion, warm the heart of both the person who makes them and the one who receives them. A handmade gift is always special. I like to give cakes. Or cake mixes in a jar. Delicious dry ingredients to which you only need to add the fresh ones and bake. When the house starts to smell good, it’s a celebration. This time I chose brownies for this jar full of flavor!

- 2/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 7 oz dark chocolate (chopped)

Steps
To prepare the jar: wash and thoroughly dry a 1-liter jar. Pour the ingredients into the jar one after the other, alternating colors to distinguish the layers: first flour and baking powder, then brown sugar, granulated sugar, cocoa, chocolate and walnuts. Close the jar and attach a label with the instructions to prepare the dessert.
“Melt 7/8 cup of butter in a bain-marie. Beat four eggs with an electric mixer or in a stand mixer. Add the contents of the jar and finally add the melted butter. Pour the mixture into an 8 x 12-inch pan or a 9-inch diameter pan and bake at 347 °F for 30–35 minutes. Let cool before cutting into cubes or slices.”
