The chocolate salami with speculoos is a classic dessert but slightly revisited: it originates from the recipe I usually make, but with some modifications and a special touch: speculoos that replaced the usual cookies. Speculoos are buttery, spicy, fragrant, in short, delicious. They give the chocolate salami a new and even more indulgent taste. Do you know speculoos? You can find them in well-stocked supermarkets or online. In some bars, they are served with coffee. If you have never tried them, you must. Enjoy them with coffee and then prepare the chocolate salami with speculoos.

Ingredients
- 6 tbsp melted butter
- 9 oz speculoos cookies
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 4 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3.5 oz dark chocolate
- 2 tbsp milk
- as needed powdered sugar
Tools
- 1 Double Boiler
- 1 Bowl
Steps
Melt the dark chocolate in a double boiler. Coarsely crumble the cookies by hand. Add the cocoa, mix in the sugar, and stir. Add the chocolate and melted butter. Blend the mixture with your hands, then add the milk. Mix well, then transfer the mixture to a work surface dusted with powdered sugar and shape it into a salami. Wrap it in parchment paper and let it chill in the fridge for at least an hour. After the resting time, roll the chocolate salami in powdered sugar, and if you want to create the illusion of a real salami, you can also place it inside a meat net or tie it tightly with string.
