Ingredients
- 7 oz feta in cubes
- 1 egg
- as needed breadcrumbs
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

Steps
Drain the feta from its maturation liquid. Transfer it to a bowl with cold water for ten minutes. This step is optional. It only serves to slightly lighten the strong taste of feta and is not necessary if you and your guests prefer it more intense. Beat the egg in a bowl and dip the feta cubes in it, then roll them in breadcrumbs. Place them on the air fryer rack with the appropriate perforated parchment paper, spray them with a bit of extra virgin olive oil, and cook at 356 °F for fifteen minutes. You can serve the feta cubes plain or drizzle them with acacia honey.
Notes
I prefer to buy feta in cubes, but for this preparation, the classic block cut into cubes works just fine.
