The fresh, creamy, delicious hazelnut ice cream, perfect to enjoy in a cone or cup with hazelnut crumbles and chocolate topping, is delightful. To prepare it, you’ll need pure 100% hazelnut paste which you can easily find online or at the supermarket. If you want, with a powerful blender, you can make hazelnut paste at home. Then milk, cream, sugar, and of course, a Ninja Creami. Let’s go to the kitchen to prepare the hazelnut ice cream together.

Ingredients

With these quantities, you get two jars like those provided with the machine.

  • 2 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup fresh cream
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons 100% hazelnut paste

Steps

  • Heat the milk on the stove or in the microwave (it should just become lukewarm) then add the sugar and stir until it is well dissolved. Add the cream slowly and the hazelnut paste. Mix well with a whisk so that the hazelnut paste melts and blends well with the other ingredients. Pour the obtained base into two jars like those provided with the machine. Cover with the lid and place in the freezer for 24 hours. When placing the jars inside the freezer, make sure they are on a flat surface and that the cream inside is well leveled.

    After the resting time, take one jar at a time out of the freezer, remove the lid and check that the mixture has not frozen crooked. Place the container with the ice cream in the outer bowl of the machine. Install the paddles (or blades) on the top of the outer lid securing them well. Place the lid on the bowl containing the ice cream and turn it clockwise to lock it. Place the bowl on the motor base and lock it in place. When it is at the right point, you will hear a click.

    Select the ICE CREAM start program to begin processing. At the end of processing all four dashes of the progress bar will flash and then turn off. Remove the bowl from the device and take out the container with the softened ice cream that will be ready to be served and enjoyed.

    Proceed in the same way with the second jar.

Notes

If any ice cream is left, store it in the freezer and when you want to use it again, if it is too hard (but it never happened to me), just put it back in the machine and press the re-spin button.
